Loved Hansel cottage so cosy and warm. Celebrated my hubbys 70th with Friends and we all felt at home instantly. The kitchen is well equipped with everything and more and lots of games provided as well as Poole and table tennis. The entrance is a bit tight for large vehicles and the cables on the hair dryers aren’t long enough to reach the where the seat and mirrors are but otherwise very good

Beautiful cottage, rear garden perfect for both us and our dogs, they loved being able to run! Views from the garden across the valley are just stunning.
The interior is lovely, and furnished just right including the bedrooms and all the bathroom/shower rooms. The kitchen is in keeping with the character of the cottage and has everything needed for a self catering holiday!
In my husbands words, Hansel is as near to perfection as you will ever see in a holiday cottage, we will definitely be back!

A lovely stay at Hansel Cottage. Everything we needed was here. Pool table was great, garden was lovely to relax in. Visited all the local towns so had a great holiday! Thank you for a lovely time had by all the family.

A lovely home from home. Beautiful well stocked cottage. Great surrounding villages. We enjoyed Salcombe, Dartmouth open air swimming and Ashburton. Lovely walks for dogs.

Thank you so much for a fabulous weeks stay in the beautiful Hansel Cottage! The property is perfect and the surroundings are stunning! We filled our time with trips to Mill Bay, Salcombe to Dartmouth-where we walked to the Castle or cream tea and then a boat trip back to the Paington zoo (highly recommended!!) and Brixham, where we had an amazing fish and chips at simply fish! The pool table and table tennis are a fantastic touch.
Overall, a 10 out of 10 stay...

A beautiful and tranquil location. Relaxing and enjoyable. Lovely rural lanes taking us to the coast and Dartmoor. Good excursion on the circular walk taking in the valley floor and green lanes. A great place for family gatherings.

The Cottage is amazing, very spacious. and stocked with everything you could possibly need - No pizza slicer though. Not a problem but just a thought. Gardens are amazing. A walk down to the river is well worth for the widlife. We spotted a kingfisher, grey wagtails, bats, Muscovy duck and bats & frogs at night. Some sort of vole living behind the wooden seating over. The dogs loved the garden however the ticks are a abundant but lucky came away with our tick twister and a pot for safe storage. I didn't enjoy the lanes, however, luckily they were never that busy. We had a lovely chat with the neighbours about the bees. lovey lovely people. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A great time had by all even if the weather turned including a hurracane!! facilities were excellent and the children enjoyed the Pool and chess!

Thank you so much for a wonderful time in Hansel Cottage. The surrounding area is beautful. We explored many beaches, towns, pubs and restaurants. Enjoyed them all! The cottage is wonderfully equipped and the pool table was excellent for family fun.

I really enjoyed staying here it is so nice and the garden is so much fun! I really loved sleeping in my bed, because it ws so comfy! I loved staying here. Devon is such a nice place with such a friendly environment! The walks here as so calm and enjoyable and hope to come again soon!
I enjoyed staying here so so much, especially because of the games room with the pool table. We loved going on walks and looking at the amazing scenery and beeches. I hope to come to Devon again soon to explore more of the wonderful towns and scenery!
The cottage is super nice, the rooms are nice and beds are sooo comfy. The pool table is really fun and the chess table is good too. The garden is amazing and super pretty. I loved my stay and really enjoyed the games room.

Have stayed here twice, spring and winter, loved it both times.
Best of both worlds, countryside and beach.
Perfect for a large family with a dog, beautiful garden with stunning views.

We have had a very pleasant stay. It is a lovely cottage with excellent facilities. The pool table & table tennis table are really good extras and well used. The road can be daunting at first due to the remoteness of the cottage, however, we soon got used to it and felt a little more at ease driving it. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed. The laundry room was helpful and what with the televisions, pool table and table tennis there was plenty to keep us amused. The garden was perfect for our grandchildren and dog to play in. All seven of us enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was excellent.

We stayed for a week in Hansel Cottage and loved exploring the area and spending time in the lovely cottage. All ages from 7-73 enjoyed the stay. We also loved going to Strete and Slapton beach to see the friendly seal that comes right up to the shore. The dogs loved the garden and the pretty walk down to the river. The cottage had everything we needed and we loved the pool table and table tennis. South Devon we'll be back.

Wonderful cottage, stunning location. Roads to cottage were daunting at first, now a stroll in the park! Gardens are beautiful, very peaceful, lots of beautiful wildlife, as previously mentioned if you have dogs please check them for ticks. Thank you for allowing us to bring our 4 dogs.

We had a fabulous week in Hansel Cottage and really appreciated you allowing us to have our four dogs with us. They had some lovely walks down the hill to the stream and also to the beaches at Strete gate and Torcross. We stay in the South Hams every year, and yours is one of the best cottages we have stopped in. The facilities you have provided, such as pool table and chess board have been well used by us during our stay and much appreciated. Would definitely recommend your property to others , and it's a big Thank you and thumbs up from us all.

We invited an extended family to visit us for the first weekend, including an 8 year old and a 2 year old. Really pleased that both the accommodation and what was here to use/do suited all ages, including those in between! We had some lovely weather, and a couple of downpours, and the house still managed to cover all weathers. Sat in the garden on the hot days, the patio and BBQ really kept the sun all day. The fires in the house created a lovely warm atmosphere too. The front garden was a lovely sanctuary too, sitting on the front bench watching / counting the rush hour traffic…. I think we saw 2 cards max each day!

We have all thoroughly enjoyed Hansel Cottage with all its lovely decor, cosy vibe, warm fire in the snug, pool playing in the TV/games room, family film watching, meals in the dining room. Imagine what it was like when the cottage was first built! The garden has been a real treat with its spring flowers, the magnolia tree revelling in its floral glory! Thank you for making your house so comfortable.

fabulous spot for a family holiday. Great views and local strolls. We really loved having the pool table for rainy days. This place was a great spot for basing ourselves and we explored Dartmouth, Dartmeet, Totnes (great record shop), Hope Cove, East Prawle, Torcross, Slapton Sands, Bigbury on Sea, Salcombe, Kingsbridge. Awesome chips at Start Bay Inn. Lovely family times. Sat around the fire and puzzle marathons. We enjoyed the piano and have taught one of the kids chess! We hope to come again in the future.

What a wonderful holiday we’ve had. This incredible cottage. Comfy, cosy and full of everything we needed. Ted loved the garden. The Girls loved the table tennis, pool table and all the books! South Milton beach was our favourite and Ted loved Bantham for the surf and other dog pals. The EV charger has been a challenge but we got there in the end. Thank you so much for letting us share your amazing cottage.

An outstanding Cottage and we loved all the different areas to sit and just “be”. The outside space was well used and we just loved it. Fun times with the Pool table and absolutely everything we needed ! (I even made my homemade scones!). Surrounding areas is outstanding (got used to the roads!). We loved Blackpool Sands, Bantham Beech and the dogs loved early morning strolls and play on Slapton Sands. Thank you for sharing this beautiful Cottage with us. We don’t want to leave!

Had a fantastic weekend with our grown up children and their partners. Wanted somewhere nice that accepted dogs, and wow you did not disappoint. Hudson loved the huge garden. Everything was perfect. The pool table was in constant use, we taught ourselves how to play some piano pieces, cooked a huge roast and found every bit of equipment we required. We would all love to come back. Thank you!

Perfect Cottage for our Easter weekend - in fact wishing we were staying all week! It seems everything has been thought of to make it a perfect holiday. Beautiful well-equipped cottage in a lovely setting, so quiet. Our dog enjoyed the garden despite the freezing temperatures! We recommend the Queens Arms in Slapton for excellent home-cooked meals, also dog-friendly.

Wonderfully equipped home. Spotless. Everything we could possibly need whatever our age. The boys loved the Games Room especially the pool table. Stunning view from the gardens. Handbook very informative. Instructions very helpful. Nice touch with the Christmas Tree. The damp weather didn’t dampen our spirits!

What a spectacular location for this lovely, well equipped cottage, so quiet and relaxing. Great costal walk from Hope Cove to Thurlestone. Good days out on South Devon Steam Railway and Dartmouth Steam Railway – both very scenic. Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands great.
